Walkers have recently added Galgorm Resort and Spa, Northern Irelands Premier luxury Hotel and Spa, to their increasing client base. Set within 163 acres of lush parkland with the spectacular River Maine flowing through the estate, Galgorm Resort is a truly unique setting, catering for overnight stays, weddings, spa days and delicious dining in their 3 restaurants.
Brand development/Media Buying/Design/Strategy
We were originally appointed to strategise and manage the media buying and artwork for a range of Galgorms annual advertising campaigns including the bi-annual Bridal Open Days in March and October, as well as seasonal offers campaigns.
2015 was an extremely exciting year however to be involved with Galgorm, as they were launching their new Thermal Spa Village in September 2015, the first of its kind in Ireland.
Walkers was tasked with coming up with a media strategy and design for the pre-launch in May, to create a buzz around the new spa and encourage pre-bookings, as well as a secondary launch campaign in September with a ‘Now Open’ message.
The pre-launch campaign ran May to June 2015 with the strapline ‘Be the First’ across targeted, high traffic area 48 sheet sites in Greater Belfast, streetliners and Cool FM, Northern Irelands most listened to radio station.
The launch campaign itself ran September to October 2015, again across targeted, high traffic area 48 sheets, streetliners and Cool FM. The message was ‘A World apart’ with an image of the new spa to generate interest and bookings, showing just how exclusive and unique the new spa was.
The campaign was enormously successful for Galgorm. For a total media and design spend of under £20,000, they generated over £750,000 worth of business in pre-bookings and bookings for the New Spa Village from May – September 2015.
We continue to work with Galgorm Resort and Spa and are looking forward to another exciting year ahead.
